How long for antibodies to kick in?

DF (73) had a cold and has developed a chest infection. He’s not been eating (making sure he’s drinking) has been sleeping all day and night and has had three days of antibiotics but doesn’t seem to be improving. He seems delirious half the time (giving him paracetamol for the temp). I’m feeling like he needs to be in hospital but the way things are at the moment I’m just wavering. WWYD?

Sorry to hear this gingerhamster - how worrying.

I would be ringing 111 at the very least - you would hope that after 3 days there would be mild improvements but it doesn’t sound like there is.

Yes I think I’ll do that, he has a call scheduled with the gp tomorrow anyway but I’m getting more worried by the day. He’s quite vulnerable healthwise.

How’s your daddy now? Hope he is better?
