Hey all, just need a sense check really. I started with a fever NYE, horrendous dry cough and vomiting. Cough continued and was struggling to breathe with a tight chest so went to ooh doctor. Saw the nurse practitioner, my pulse was high, blood pressure through the roof but said my temp was ok and chest sounded clear and was prob flu. Did say to ring docs ref blood pressure.

Woke up early this morning and now coughing up thick green mucus with blood in it. Chest still tight and breathing not great, is it best to just wait and sit it out or get another opinion, I know the NHS is rushed off its feet

Sounds like you now have a chest infection and need antibiotics. You need to contact your GP urgently or go to urgent care.

Nurse told you to see the doctor so do that. Your BP needs checking apart from anything else. None of us can diagnose your chest over the internet but you should make an appointment anyway for both things!
