DD fell yesterday and banged her head and now she's had a nose bleed???

DD fell over yesterday lunchtime and hit her forehead on a hard tiled floor. She cried and the bruise appeared almost immediately. The rest of the day she was fine. This morning she has woken up as normal but has obviously had a nose bleed in the night.

Should I be concerned? She is nearly 3 by the way.

TIA

DS does this, never had any problems as a result of it. She will be fine.

I would phone NHS direct myself. Poor thing!

Not sure, it could indicate a more serious problem, best to be safe.

this is scary, might be nothing to worry about but please see GP or a&e if you can

If she seems fine that's a good sign x

I wish I'd listen to my maternal instinct (and BreeVanDerCampLGJ )! We weren't seen until gone 12 noon (and we could see the sunshine calling us through the locked window in the waiting room ) and the doctor barely looked at DD before sending us home. But better to be safe than sorry huh?

Sorry! Glad she is Ok, I was quite worried if that helps!!!

thanks flllightattendant, I guess because I could see her and see that she was being quite normal it was easier for me. One of the mums at school is a paed and she too told me to get her checked out so your advice was correct. Just in this case, luckily for us, she was fine.

The hardest thing now is to leave her nose alone as all I want to do is clean it out but the doctor told me I must leave it well alone and let the crusty dried blood fall out when it's ready! Yuk.
