I've just seen on Facebook that NHS Grampian are asking any staff not working tonight or on annual leave to contact the hospital and go into work.
I was in hospital earlier this year and they had to shut whole wards because of lack of available staff but apparently it is even worse now.
You definitely don't want to get sick or injured in the north east of Scotland tonight.

I had to go into hospital this week and the paramedic who came out said they had over 100 cases on the list. I had to go by taxi as there were no ambulances available

There are several trusts calling for any available staff to go in. It's hideous, much much worse than pandemic peak and the government are saying nothing.

There are several ongoing Critical Incidents in the SE this week. Cancelling routine appointments and drafting in staff to cover urgent care services.
