Our chemical lifestyle

Does anyone else wonder what [hidden] affect/s our chemical lifestyle is having on our bodies?

Am thinking specifically chemicals in our food, but also chemicals like air fresheners.

Our ancestors lived shorter lives due to poor nutrition. We've improved our nutrition, but I think we've gone full circle back to shorter lives due to the number of chemicals in our environments.

I got a parrot 6months ago, and I can't help thinking this has started me on a slightly less chemical lifestyle. We've stopped using air fresheners and random cleaning products in favor of more natural ones (ala Kim and Aggie :D) and when buying fruit/veg/pasta and other parrot safe foods, we've tended to go organic.

Is it possible to lead a chemical free life do you think? How? If not, how chemical free can we go?

I agree with you. I started thinking about this when we had fertility problems. We don't need half the stuff we have and the old cleaning products like white vinegar and bicarbonate of soda work wonders.

I started cutting out stuff over the last few years and have noticed an improvement in ourselves, like allergies. We have even started growing our own veg!!!
