PHOTO warning: When to worry about a random bruise

a random bruise appeared on my upper abdomen and near my post-birth stretch marks. I don’t know what happened to cause it, it only feels sore if I touch it. It’s been there over a week or so now. I know sometimes bruising can mean other things and my gums do bleed easily while brushing my teeth. It might be a silly question but is this something I should get checked out? I know doctors are busy and it’s a small minor thing in the grand scheme of things.

Any thoughts or similar experiences/ medical perspectives would be helpful. Thank you so much. Picture included.

If it's an isolated bruise and no flu like symptoms, I wouldn't worry too much, it's easy to knock yourself and not remember how you did it.

You are probably fine but read up symptoms of sepsis rash www.nhs.uk/conditions/sepsis/

If in doubt call 111 for medical advice. Try and think back if you knocked yourself.
