Just rung 111 for the first time. Feel poorly

I don’t like ringing it but I think I need antibiotics like my DS who was diagnosed with bronchitis recently.
‘Heart is pounding, hot and cold, cough, feel crap if I try to do anything.
Will I be told to go to walk in, or can they prescribe without seeing you ?

Thanks to the amazing 111 service I had a phone call back from a doctor and antibiotics prescribed over the phone. She even told me where my closest open pharmacy was. Amazing service on Christmas Day.

They do a brilliant job when used properly.

When I filled the online firm in it said I’d get a call back within one hour, it actually took 5 hours, but it was Christmas Day so I think that was super service.

Glad you got it sorted. I also have a good NHS story. My Mum has just received superb care from GP through to hospital care ( bloods and scan - all ok, so sent home - swollen leg with history of clots). Caring, quick and efficient from start to finish. I was super impressed.
