Would you go to the gp about this?

I've been ill on and off for a while. I've had 4 separate incidences of fever in as many weeks. First one came out of nowhere about 4 weeks ago and urgent care were concerned so sent me on to A&E who kept me overnight but then went home in morning. Bloods unremarkable apparently. Bowels were a bit off beforehand and bad afterwards so gp 1assumed gastro bug.

Then I had a fever on the day of my flu jab a couple of weeks later, that subsided the next day. (understandable)

Then on Thursday after feeling like I've had a cold on and off for a week or so I got a mild fever along with typical viral symptoms, yellow snot, achey, tired, sinus headache etc. Seemed to improve for a couple of days but now moved to my throat but tonsils look OK I think. Seems lower down, more like larynx. Tonight I've been awake for ages because I'm boiling and was very sweaty in bed earlier as well. I'm still snotty but it's not quite as yellow but my bowels have gone a bit dodgy again.

I can't decide if I've just had bad luck or I need to get checked out? Fed up of feeling rotten :( it seems like I've only had a couple of days where I've actually felt OK in the last 5 ot 6 weeks.

Just to add, I'm taking iron supplements atm as I was diagnosed anaemic last month, which won't be helping.

No I wouldn't. I would just think my immune system was shot and I needed a decent period of rest and recuperation. I say this as someone who was chronically anaemic and unwell for many years (without really realising!). Take it easy, plenty of rest, liquids and nourishing foods when you can manage. Hopefully you can take some time off work to rest properly.

No I wouldn't. Just rest as much as possible and try to build yourself up with a good diet, though at the moment I doubt you fancy much as you are unwell. Drink plenty of water and keep warm. I hope you feel better soon.

I’d say bad luck! My young adult ds has had 2 colds in close succession and he says he’s still not 100% but he really is pushing himself w work & socialising. Thankfully he has 2 weeks off coming up
soon (and I have caught his cold!).
