Swimming with gunky eyes

I feel a bit thick for not knowing what the right thing to do is but.....

What's the protocol on taking a toddler with gunky eyes to her swimming lesson? It isn't technically conjunctivitis according to the doctor, but she does have some drops and the eyes are moderately sticky and snotty looking, if you know what I mean.

Is it bad form to go to the pool? And of course I don't want to make the infection worse. Cannot find a single bit of advice about this on the internet so am consulting the altogether wiser mumsnet!

Thanks

Personally I wouldn't take her, firstly to stop irritating her eyes more and secondly to avoid the risk of passing it on.

No I wouldn't
