Running: Just started and my ankles feel really tender

Has anyone else experienced this?

I have stopped for the timebeing but when I try to run after my three year old I feel like I'm hobbling!

I'm sure it's just that running was a bit of a shock on my poor tired body!! But I don't want to stop. I really feel like it's making a difference.

Have you got good running shoes LostMe? Not having any can cause alsorts of troubles.

When you feel you can run again - join us on Couch Potato - 5K thread. There is a podcast you can download to an mp3 player, it's very good and he tells you when to stop/start runing!

Thanks Furball

I treated myself to a new pair after about a week of running in my old ones (they weren't cheap and I went to a proper sports shop to get advice - so I HOPE it's not them!)

I think it was probably too much too soon - I went from not being able to run at all to running two miles comfortably in about two weeks! But I am road running which I know isn't good for joints - but until I find someone to run with I'm not comfortable about going off road on my own.

I don't feel old (I'm 37) but my body obviously has a different idea!
