I keep needing to wee

Not like me at all, can normally go ages without needing one but today I have been loads of times and constantly feel like I need a wee.

Do I need to go the docs or can I just drink shed loads of water and flush it out so to speak ??

It doesn't hurt to wee at all.

Glad you're getting it sorted Nurcracker.

I must retire..I can't type today. I meant freudian slip not Prudian!! Not half as good as Oh! Cunter! though

If you start getting aches in your back, or a fever, you need to see an out of hours doctor. It means it could have reached your kidneys. Which farking hurts (had two kidney infections in the last 4 months).

nutcracker · 01/02/2008 20:50

Ouch, sounds painful. I will definatly get it seen to (not sure that is the right expression lol), if it gets like that.

Well..going against the majority opinion here but I need to wee more in the evening because I have a slightly prolapsed bladder which is worse by night time!! So do check if anything is "hanging down" down there

nutcracker · 02/02/2008 10:25

Oh no really. I hope it's not that.

God, who'd be a bloody woman.

Right, my mum got me the sachets that you disolve in water, and call me a wimp, but URGH, I just couldn't drink it.

I am still not in any pain, still feel the need to wee more than normal, but I am actually weeing normal amounts each time I go, not just dribble.

My mum asked a couple of the midiwves at work and they said it might just be irritated, but how do you treat that then ??

Going to get some cranberry juice tommorow, but if that doesn't work then it's off to the docs, well when i can get in.

if you are weeing proper amounts each time then it sounds more like you are drinking more than usual?

BreeVanDerCampLGJ · 02/02/2008 17:22

LGJ

Stares at Nutcracker............and hisses in a low menacing voice.... ......Drink it, pinch your nose if you have to, but drink it.

If you don't I will send XP around stark naked with a rose in his arse cheeks to serenade you all night.

LIZS · 02/02/2008 17:26

poor you . If it doesn't improve lay it on thick with the receptionist. Ours found me an appointment that morning when I told them why I needed it.

nutcracker · 02/02/2008 17:32

Ewwww i will have nightmares now. I did try and drink it, but was nearly sick. This is the person that as a atten used to have to take soluble paracetamol, with a cup of blackcurrant next to me and chocolate for after each mouthful.

I am drinking more than usual but not because I am thirsty, too flush out the infection.

It's not waking me in the night by the way, but then I do sleep like the dead.

The doc isn't likely to give me the sachets is she ?

no should prescribe antibiotics. But will probably want a sample from you to test it for infection.

nutcracker · 04/02/2008 19:59

Right, am still here and getting annoyed with this now.

It keeps coming and going. All day yesterday I was fine, didn't wee anymore than normal, but then I had a wee before I got into bed and then after that I had the constant feeling that I needed to go.

Today the feeling has still been there but not quite as bad. It still doesn't hurt at all, and I don't feel like I will actually wet my self just that I could do with going sometime soon.

Have brought some cranberry juice, but how much do I need to drink for it to possibly work ?

I know I should go the docs now, but it is so hard to get an appointment, and I definatly can't go tommorow or wednesday anyway.

I am not used to this, have always been a girl that can go ages without needing the loo, although I know that is bad for you anyway.

I don't know if it is just because I am constantly thinking about it now.

nutcracker, I would go to doctors just to rule out a UTI. If it isn't an infection my advise would be to try and not give in to the urges to wee, easier said than done I know. Over the years I've gleaned a fair bit of knowledge, basically the bladder fills then the nerves send a message to the brain that your bladder needs emptying, this normally gets quite urgent by 2/3 or 3/4 full, what happens when you keep emptying when you're bladder is only a little full is, the nerves become over sensitive and keep sending messages to your brain saying your bladder is more full than it actually is. Does that make sense? Sorry, rushing to type this and trying to eat dinner at same time! Remember avoid orange juice or too much caffeine.

Good luck, let me know how you get on.

nutcracker · 04/02/2008 22:09

Yeah that makes sense, thanks. I will see if I can get in for Thursday.

In the mean time I will try not to think about it and not go too often.

You could ask to see the nurse if gp is full , she can do the dip test and refer you if needs be. Make sure you tell Receptionist why you need a appointment asap , if left it could get really nasty.

Hopeysgirlwasntbig · 07/02/2008 11:20

how are you nutcracker?
