DD (10 weeks) has very smelly ears, kinda smells cheesy.

Could it be an ear infection?
She is otherwise fine, not grumpy or anything. She had her first set of jabs on Tuesday could it be related?

Hmm, tbh my bet would be that milk might have trickled from her mouth/bottle/your nipple to her ear, got in and turned cheesy! I noticed this occasionally with my dd2

Or have you already tried a gentle wipe with a blunt-tip (baby specific) cotton bud?

GoodGollyMissMolly · 31/01/2008 15:36

, I haven't tried the cotton buds, will give it a go. It's actually a really strong smell, I noticed it just now when I went to change her nappy. thanks Elibean

I had something similar with DD - found build up of dead skin behind ear which wiped away with damp cotton wool/bud after a few gentle goes.

LOL at ear cheese. We've had that, behind the ear.

GoodGollyMissMolly · 31/01/2008 15:41

mylovelymonster on that note I've just looked behind DD's ears and lo and behold lots of dead crusty skin. I've wiped it all away...eewwwww....
