It keeps happening, random sizes and shapes" usually on chest/neck. They do go eventually but this is worse than usual. They are very red and very hot. Obviously I will speak to the doctors when I can be wondering if anybody had experienced similar?

Is there a pattern of eating or drinking foods/alcohol.

DorritLittle · 25/11/2022 23:38

Allergy? Sensitive to central heating?

I have v annoying skin and put La Roche Posay Ciclaste Baum on most things. Highly recommend.

Amandasummers · 25/11/2022 23:39

@MyKitchenRules no, no pattern like that. I tend to only notice them after a bath (but then I'm clothed the rest of the time!) It's not on the skin that's actually been IN the water though and products wise I only use super sensitive stuff and never the same brands really

To me it looks like an allergy reaction to some environmental thing. Try some antihistamines. I only mentioned alcohol as my friend looked the same on her neck when she has wine

Thanks all. I can calm myself a little now! I think maybe you may be right, reaction to something environmental!

My old boss used to get this. It looked exactly the same. She never did get to the bottom of it.

exactly the same as my mum! I was about to say this - but only when she drank red wine.

If it happens after a bath OP, it sounds like a circulatory thing (would fit with the wine as well? Doesn’t that make you flush?)

Jewelanemone · 26/11/2022 00:08

Had very similar marks on my thighs and torso after eating mackerel once. Could be a food reaction. Having said that, I've had no repeat and have continued to eat fish. The red marks appeared instantly and were very hot. They went away after about 20 minutes.

whydontpoo · 26/11/2022 00:09

Not on me but again seen the same after red wine..

Amandasummers · 26/11/2022 07:10

Thanks all! Thinking its likely to be circulation and bath/heat related! I don't drink much and when I do its only smirnoff ice buti know what you're all saying about the wine thing! I've seen that sort of thing on others but normally looks more rashy. This is just so "solid" looking, no rashyness it all! Weird!

KangarooKenny · 26/11/2022 07:12

Mine is solid looking if I drink alcohol, not rashy.

DarkAndDusty · 26/11/2022 07:38

My DH had something similar and it was an allergic reaction to a particular food.

McConkeysPlate · 26/11/2022 07:42

It looks like urticaria. My son gets this after viral illnesses, if he gets too warm or too cold.

Mindspotter · 27/11/2022 07:56

I've had the same exact marks in the past seen the doctor about him and he gave me some coal tar shampoo and told me to use it all over my day day and a half March went away gone for a long time but came back every now and then I'll try using cold tire shampoo that works
