I have had a vile vile virus all week

STarted to feel better tonight, went to let dog out about half an hour ago and tripped over a garden chair on the way back, totally fell over, no time to put hands out or anything and SMASHED my head on paving

And have hurt my knee and rib but my head is pounding

Dh rescued me and got me a cold pack thing, have had on my head for half an hour but as soon as I take it off it hurts like buggery. I seem to remember I shouldn't keep it on for too long (from when a bottle of wine dropped on my toe recently, I seem to remember they said that it was bad to keep cool pack on too long or am I hallucinating?)

Doesn't seem to be swelling too badly tho dh said it looked awful at first.

ARGH this is ALL i fucking need

Poor you! Are you feeling dizzy at all?

This is about children but still applies

CountessDracula · 30/01/2008 22:52

no not really

I felt very disorientated when I first did it briefly

(had had 3 glasses of wine so maybe just that )

Do stay up for a bit, in case you are concussed. Start a fight thread on MN

CountessDracula · 30/01/2008 23:00

good plan

heheh

it is subsiding now (the pain)

my left hand is now hurting too so I guess I must have twatted that and all

poor darling girl....

a headbashing time all round.

horrible falling over, lots of shame (when I do it) you just feel stupid which adds to the pain levels ime.

yummylittlelapin · 30/01/2008 23:07

My sister fell head first out of a taxi once (it was stationary) and the hospital gave her a little thing that said "Hello! I have a head injury!" and detailed what people should do if they found her in a heap on the pavement.

She was a drunken student, naturally and proudly displayed it on her halls door

eleusis · 30/01/2008 23:08

Oh no. Can't you get the staff to tend to the dog? If you make the pre-dinner boozing on Friday, I'll buy you a nice drink to numb the pain.

CountessDracula · 30/01/2008 23:10

i have no staff present
only dh watching MOTD

NewYearNewStart · 30/01/2008 23:22

Sounds very painful, I hope you stop hurting soon!

CountessDracula · 30/01/2008 23:22
