Health anxiety! Found a lump

Hey so I found this lump ages ago, I didn't really think anything of it but it keeps playing on my mind now , I do have health anxiety and it's at the bottom of my sternum sort of level with my breast bone, it's movable and sore! Not sure if it's grown at all. Im 22 mother of 1 and am terrified to say the least, I will book a doctors appointment but im dreading if anyone know what it could be 😭

It could be anything, but if it’s sore and annoying you, it’s best to have it checked and removed. I had a lump on the back of my neck for a while, I kept catching it brushing my hair, then it started to hurt. I had it removed by my GP in minor surgery unit. They did send a biopsy away for testing and it was nothing serious.

These things are usually nothing to worry about, such as fatty lumps, infected pores etc just get it checked out and you'll feel so much better

Thankyou got replying, it's horrid finding lumps isn't it, always think worst case, I just wouldn't want to be put asleep literally a fear that after my last surgery

@mumsnetter123 As others have said the first step is to see your GP. We have all put off seeing the doctor and when we do it’s a relief. Possibly a fatty lump.
