Could this be skin cancer?

After having seen a different thread I’m worried about something on my own neck. It hasn’t changed or grown and the two photos are exactly a year apart. (I’ve been keeping an eye but decided not to worry unless it changed). Does this look like skin cancer?

I know I should see a GP and I will when I can. I’m travelling for the next 10 weeks though.

And also I’m muddled now is it not changing a good sign or is it not having gone a bad one?

I’m not a Dr or anything like one, it looks like a spot but as you’ve had it a year perhaps it’s a hair follicle.
Either way it’s not changed in significance in a year so another few weeks wait won’t make much difference.

Actually a wait can make all the difference.
SCC needs dealing with pretty promptly. I’m NOT saying that’s what this is, just that it does need looking at if you are concerned it may be cancer.

@BatshitandBonkers If it was SCC though wouldn’t it at least be bigger by now? It’s the complete lack of change that’s throwing me.

I had a spot in same position just under hair line, I went to GP as it began to hurt. GP removed it under local anaesthetic and sent it away for analysis, it came back fine. I have had a few spots due to block hair folicles over the years, some go on their own, some with antibiotics and 3 have had to be removed, due to being infected.
