I was diagnosed as having graves and was hyperthyroid as a result.
The endocrinologist put me on PTU as I was breastfeeding and asked for bloods in 8 weeks (due in 2 weeks)
After 2 weeks of starting PTU my symptoms disappeared and I felt normal again, although my breastmilk also dried up. After 4 weeks I started to feel tired and now, 6 weeks on I feel like death. I had hypothyroidism for years before my thyroid went overactive and I feel like all of my symptoms now are due to low T4 levels. My resting heart rate has gone down to 42 from 60+, I'm cold all of the time, I'm exhausted, I feel depressed...
Has anyone ever been put on thyroid blockers and gone hypothyroid so fast? I'm on a very low dose
