my ds was prescribed them on monday and had 2 doses on mon, 3 on tue and so far one today (amoxycillin). It was for a chest infection though he presented no temperature just general miserableness. Last night and this am he has cried alot and has a a few spots on his tum (done usual checks) - he had a temp at bedtime but dosed up went to sllep but has woke and moaned on and off since 4 this am. Anyway i was due to go into work but have now rang in as been to docs again and saw same nurse pratitioner who saw on Mon who said chest sounded worse but then on advise of doc has said to just cont with same antibiotics for next 24 hrs and see how he goes - i would have thought they would be working now - what do you think? I am truly knackered today and was looking fwd to work for the rest lol!!

He cried when i got him back home and doesnt usually sleep till after lunch but hasbeen asllep since half 9 after a sanity puschair walk. He looks so cute but mummy is knackered!! I am at docs this pm also for myself as keep having nosebleeds - could thisbe related to me being a wrecked tired out mummy (is only one nostril and lasts about a minute but most days this week and odd dizzy moment). Sorry to ramble on but am having one of those days and feel a bit also sorry for lack of grammer and spelling!

Poor you! AFAIK antibiotics start working after roughly 48 hours. Keep in touch with your surgery if you are worried. HE might be a bit better after a nice long nap?

he woke after an hr as th ephone went off - grrrr - went for another walk and he dozed - now tucking into some raisin bread between sad looks and moans! Plan to walk to surgery this pm so he might have another sleep and sleep himself better. Thanks
