Is it normal to have pain/sensitivity 8 days after dental work

I had 2 deep fillings and a crown. I have a temp crown but am getting a lot of pain sensitivity. Is this normal? I go back in 2 weeks to have the permanent crown fitted and don't want to make a fuss. Thank you x

yes this can be a thing. Twice now I have had pain for a couple of weeks after fillings/root canal but it then settled down. I think the nerve is still sensitive for a while.

I had pain for close to two weeks (tolerable pain) and it's since passed. Go gently x

Thank you, I've just never had this before. The gum and tooth feel sore and lots of sensitivity.

Can be normal but worth going back before they fit the crown as the root may need to be taken out. With deep fillings that's the problem that they are usually close to the nerve and can irritate them.

Also if you have root canal you shouldn't feel any pain after as the nerve isn't there anymore and no sensitivity.

I had a back molar out recently and it was really painful for nearly 2 weeks. I lived on paracetamol.
