Loss of appetite

Just after some general advice from fellow mumsnetters.

6 weeks or so ago I lost my appetite, felt sick at the thought of food, feel bloated it I eat a bit of food, not large portions and I have lost nearly a stone. I do need to lose a bit (I weighed 12.5 stone and am 5.9 and am now 11.6) so probably still could do with shifting a bit but the point is im not actually trying. I know the science of putting less food into my body means obviously I will lose weight but im not sure when I should start to be concerned. I feel icky most of the time and just can’t really stomach the thought of food. There is a maternal history of bowel cancer so my mind is wondering if I’m missing something.

Go to the GP.
better safe than sorry with your history and symptoms.

Can I ask how you are now? Did you have tests?
