AF - before and after pregnancy, similar for any one else?

Due to the fact that dh and I are ttc #2, I have been paying a lot of attention to the vagaries of AF, and I have noticed a couple of significant changes:

1. I have always had a regular cycle, but before I had ds, AF came every 27 days; now she visits every 24.

2. AF used to be quite heavy for a few days and tail off gradually; now she is really heavy for one day and then is much lighter much quicker

3. I used to get terrible pre-menstrual cramps on the first day of AF; these days I get the odd twinge but no real pain

Unfortunately I still get irritable the week AF comes (poor old dh and ds).

I was wondering if I was alone or if others have noticed similar changes?

Not sure about some of these as I have also changed to a mooncup but

1. Not back to a regular cycle yet (10 months since AF returned) used to be 29 days like clockwork - now varies by +/- 4 days

2. agree just the same change - plus shorter overall - 5 days not 7

3. less cramps too

How long ago did you have your firstborn?
I noticed when AF came back that the cycles were shorter too by about 4 or 5 days plus no pain and it was heavy for the first day then got lighter quicker and the whole period didn't last as long. Now DS is 17 months, they seem a bit more like pre AF, eg back to my usual 29 day cycle but I still don't get any backache like I used too.

Myrtle - ds is 3, and AF seems to have been this way since I stopped bfing when he was around 1.
