I've had a really painful one since before the weekend on my tongue. If anyone has any suggestions on how to help it to heal or stop the pain, I'd be really grateful.

Anbesol liquid works for me, but I also use oraldene mouthwash twice a day too when I have them - helps reduce how long they stick about.

Hi second anbesol but I had some on my tongue recently and my GP prescribed Adcortyl in Orabase. Fantastic stuff, actually stick to wet mucosa.
Think you'll probably get from chemist, if not your g.p or dentist can predcribe.

well, i popped to chemist yesterday afternoon. They didn't have the liquid anbesol, but the pharmacist sold me the adcortyl in orabase - its like wallpaper paste, but it at least sticks to it! Although its still there this morning, I can feel its finally healing, so thanks everyone

I must start taking vit c. DH takes zinc, too, which also is supposed to help.
