DD has got several smallish white lumps around ger eyes, including one right in the line of her eyelashes, they are uncomfortable when she blinks. Any avice how to treat if at all, and can she go swimming, I seem to have read conflicting advice.

molloscum is contagious. are you sure its this?

Seona1973 · 28/01/2008 20:04

my dd has them and I do let her go swimming. As they can last for up to 2 years I am not going to stop her swimming for that amount of time. I have just started using colloidal silver on hers but it is too soon to tell if it is making a difference. The usual advice is to let them run their course (which can be months/years)

Colloidal silver

p.s. yes it is contagious but so far my dd has them and ds has not.

pretty sure it is molluscum..biggest spot about 3mm in diameter, raised lumps, slightly paler than her skin, with some sort of liquid inside I think

I did go just to get it confirmed that it was molluscum but they do not advise any treatment for it

Molluscum Contagiosum

My son took 2 years to grow out of these. They will move downwards on the body and they will scar if picked!! Aloe Vera gel mixed with a few drops of tea tree works really well.

GP said carry on with all activities as normal.
