What’s going around at the moment? Cough or cold

I have had a bit of a sore throat but not swollen, headache and chesty cough for the last 2 days. I’m coughing up stuff but it’s not too bad. No runny nose thankfully. It doesn’t feel like a cold as my nose is usually affected. It can’t be a chest infection surely? I thought those were quite serious. Just feels like a chesty mucousy cough. I’m very glad that I don’t have the awful streaming nose and painful sinuses though. Just had flu or a terrible cold 1 month ago. 4 months ago I had covid. Can you just get a chesty cough alone? Never had this before.

I have had a nasty cough for a week but nothing else

I had just a chesty cough a few weeks ago as have a few people at my work - seems to be going round.

Lots of viruses going around

I think the mild weather doesn't help.
My cough is so Annoying and stopping me sleep, no cold though.

Covid? I had it for first time last week and my symptoms were similar

I've had an annoying cough too. I can't shake it off. Defo not Covid. I've been testing

Yes I've had chest infections without the typical blocked nose etc.

Yes I had it recently. Tested negative for Covid throughout it. It was exhausting and lasted just over a week.

Lots of horrid viruses at the moment. We've had 2 in our house this month. First was sore throat, fatigue and cough. Second is a sinus one - headache, ear pain, face pain etc. Several friends have had one or other of these 2 viruses. The first lasts about 4 days but the second lasts weeks.
