Mouth palate is so sore I cannot eat

Late last night the pain started, it’s worse today, I’ve not been able to eat as the pain gets so bad. At first the pain was only if I ate/drank, but it’s sore just all the time now.

half the palate is red, but no blisters/lumps/spots/bumps, just redness. No white or yellowness. So I’m thinking it can’t be a canker, or thrush? Any ideas what it could be?

Thanks

Did you burn it by eating or drinking something hot?

Did you test for covid? I am hearing a lot of people getting it again

Sophie9090 · 23/10/2022 22:05

No I didn’t burn it, and negative covid test. I’ve just noticed at the back of my tongue I have lots of red lumps and also on the side of my tongue. I’ve noticed when I tried eating pain travels to the side of my tongue. Now I’m freaking out as the lumps look awful

I had this exactly and tested negative for covid at first... a couple of days later I was positive! Felt like burning in my mouth and my lips and back of mouth was red and sore

I recently had something similar to this after eating food with a high acidity. Have you had any new or sour types of food?

Hohofortherobbers · 23/10/2022 22:21

HFM? my only symptom was a sore mouth. Nothing on hands or feet.

Could it be coming from a dental abcess? I'd go to the dentist if you haven't already. Hope you feel better soon
