Yes.....its like trapped wind isn't it? Has had me rocking back and forth with pain sometimes with DH looking on all and saying helpfully, oh you sound just like you did when you were in labour ....followed by a and a 'not sure I want to be with you if we have another one'

Arw you sure it is not your gall bladder?

QuintessentialShadow · 27/01/2008 23:19

I get that.

For me, the best thing to do is to lay down flat on my back for around 10 minutes, with my knees at an angle so my soles are touching the ground. This relieves it, I dont know why.

I agree with seb1.

Could be your gall bladder.

First minor attacks feel like indigestion, lower back ache, tummy upset and SHOULDER PAIN.

Worth checking out. Don't think general indigestion would include shoulder pain.

QuintessentialShadow · 27/01/2008 23:27

no no no. NO. There is NOTHING wrong with my gallbladder. La la la, I am not listening.

lucyellensmum · 28/01/2008 00:19

if you are plagued by indegestion, especially at night and after a fatty meal, it could well be your gall bladder. But yes, you can get shoulder pain from indigestion, i get it in both my shoulders right down to my fingers sometimes (and no its not my heart - its been checked!). I have had my gall bladder removed.

GrinningSoul · 28/01/2008 00:25

i get this too - always have. not severe and not regular but horrid when it happens.

Well, I had it after a laparoscopy operation when they'd pumped my abdomen full of gas to get a good look. Apparently it's something to do with a certain nerve, must be a similar thing to do with wind.
