Help-sinus drainage in the throat

I've had a cold for about a week, and although my nose is not particularly congested I have this constant drainage from my sinuses. It feels like it collects in my throat and stays there, it feels like a marble stuck behind my tongue. I can't cough it out, can't reach it with my fingers (yes I actually tried, that desperate). I've eaten scratchy food hoping to take it down when I swallow, drank hot things, fizzy things, acidic things, all trying to dissolve it or something. I've taken cold medicine, doesn't work.

Does anyone have any off the wall remedies that might get rid of this lump in my throat before I go completely insane?

I have had a sore throat with the attendent nasel drip and found that honey in hot water helped, sipped slowly. Also a nasel decongestant works as it will eventually drip down the back of the throat as well (thats why you can taste them).

Discoverlife, I've been doing hot tea with honey, and it does help but only while I'm drinking. So far decongestants haven't worked, maybe I'll try Cali's suggestion of an antihistamine and see if there's a difference.

Thanks Ladies

I've had post nasal drip and docs prescribed something (can't remember what so far)
