Plus weight gain and low mood. I was thinking I am perimenopausal but now I don't know. What else are these symptoms for? I am starting to freak out with how much hair I am losing 😔

Worth a GP appointment and bloods as could be many things. Thyroid issues, vitamin deficiencies or something more serious.

Apileofballyhoo · 21/10/2022 23:15

Peri menopause was the first thing I thought.

Thyroid problems, low iron, low b12

go to the GP and get tested, all of them have simple solutions

Meltinthemiddle · 21/10/2022 23:25

Yes I will try and ring them Monday, just feeling anxious about it now and can't stop worrying 😢

There are so many common, easily remedied things that it could be. I get it, I have health anxiety. But you're only going to ruin your weekend if you keep dwelling on it and assuming it is something terrible. Much more likely to be nothing to worry about. As a doctor said to me, common things are common.

LeMoo · 21/10/2022 23:35

Many of the conditions your symptoms could be down to can also cause anxiety, if not as a primary symptom then a secondary one. When we're deficient in something or unwell, anxiety is often a symptom - I think because physically we don't feel robust and our body comes under more day to day stress.

You're doing the right thing, try not to let your imagination run away with you.

Thank you

What is your diet like?

you sound like you are deficient in many macro (most likely protein) and micro nutrients, vit k for example for the bruising, biotin for the hair loss

LolaLolaLolas · 22/10/2022 09:50

These are the symptoms I had with my underactive thyroid. Even down to random bruises appearing.

Please don’t overthink it and upset yourself. I thought I had MS and a heart problem, turns out it was anaemia.
Try and keep your mind occupied until you get an appointment.
