Freaking out. Didn't check the date of unopened bread in the cupboard and gave her a sandwich for her lunch - she ate the whole lot.

Wasn't until she went down for a nap I made myself one and the taste was vile. I checked and it had all white spores in the centre and round the edges. The whole loaf. It went out 5 days ago :(

Will this make her sick? So worried now.

We had a shopping delivery that my partner took in for us yesterday morning and I thought it was new bread as it was unopened Sad

She'll be fine. Keep an eye on her but she shouldn't get sick. They put worse stuff in their mouth when we don't realise trust me!

She'll either be sick or she won't. It's unlikely to be serious if she is.

*Says the parent who's children, between them, have eaten live snails, chicken poo, their own poo, and probably all sorts of other awful stuff without dying yet

My son did this once with a crust that was accidentally left in a high chair when we went away on holiday (put him in high chair when we returned, he found the blue mouldy crust and chowed down..) 🤮🤮🤮🤮

he was fine.

I've just had to fish a stone the floor at the park out of my littlest nephew's mouth. I just tell myself it's good for their immune system. I'm sure she'll be fine - don't forget that people eat various types of mould! 😊

Aquamarine1029 · 17/10/2022 14:42

She will be fine. We ingest mould all the time.

heldinadream · 17/10/2022 14:46

I don't think bread mould is actually dangerous, just unpleasant. She'll be fine OP.

She will be fine. It is easily done.
