SIBO - has anyone any experience of this?

I have had gut issues for 24+ years. I’ve had so many tests (2 x gastroscopes with biopsies for coeliac/h pylori etc. A colonoscopy, ct scan, pill camera endoscopy, endless us scans tests, blood tests, stool tests etc).
Luckily, all come back clear but still I have these gut issues.
The symptoms have been so bad the last few years and I’m at the end of my tether and so fed up with daily symptoms.
I have tried everything suggested for IBS - I have tried probiotics, probiotics, kefir, bio yogurt. I am dairy, sugar and gluten free. I follow the low fodmap diet. No alcohol. No artificial sweeteners. I drink water only. Low fat. Low carb. Hypnotherapy and gut directed exercises.
I have tried everything.
My gastroenterologist is sending me a SIBO test to do at home (the Healthpath one).
I do seem to have many of the symptoms of SIBO. I am always gassy. I have a constant gurgling, growling, popping digestive system from stomach through to intestines and colon, I get acid, nausea. I am more prone to IBS-d but can get constipation too. I get so bloated and it’s so painful. The gurgling and gassiness even wakes me through the night. I am tired all the time. I had low ferritin of 3 at the beginning of the year (had to have an infusion).
Has anyone had any experience of SIBO?
I am scared I may have it as looking on all the support groups etc, it looks like a bugger to get rid of and many seem to feel worse on the antibiotics prescribed.

No experience but wanted to respond to your post. I've just posted similar about gastritis. One area that I've not yet explored is stress and anxiety. I know I need to speak to my gp about this as there's a direct link between gut heath and mental health. Is this am area you've explored at all? Apparently even being very excited can effect some people! Not saying that's what's wrong with you. I'm on a journey to find the cause of my problems.

One of my kids was diagnosed with this. The vancomycin abx that is prescribed is a nasty drug but once the sibo is treated it's worth the 2 weeks of unpleasantness,

Stress and anxiety definitely makes gut issues worse or even causes them MaverickSnoopy. Have you had a look at the Nerva app, it’s a gut focused hypnotherapy program. So many people have good results with it. I hope you find some relief soon.
Thanks LovelaceBiggWither that’s good to know.
