Ds 2.7 has scaly patches on head but does't look like cradle cap?

Just wondered if anyone else had this and has any advice. He does have a slight skin thing, we Aveeno on prescription but it's never turned into anything full blown. If I moisturse his skin every night it doesn't get out of hand and he never itches. COuld it be on his head too and can I use Aveeno on it do you think?

ds1 had scaly patches on his scalp too, still doesin places. we have just kept applying the cradle crap cream (as we call it round here!) when ds1 gets flare ups, every 3-6 months...

DS (3 next wk) has this at the moment, thinks it's a seasonal thing as he usually gets eczema patches in the winter. Doesn't bother him so I'm just assuming it will get better with a bit of sunshine.

Very reassuring, at least we're not the only ones!

I'm sure it's seasonal too Buckets as it's always worse in the winter, maybe even the central heating etc.

Reclover, what cream and does it make ds1' hair greasy?!

Meant to say DS has this theory that it gets worse when he's been ill with something else, or teething etc and that it's related to paracetamol liquid we give him. This DS saw something somewhere about it.

DD2 has just got this as well white flaky patches on her scalp (same time she got ezcema on her body) GP prescribed Polytar shampoo but I think it's too strong for a 2 yo, it smells foul as well.

Will keep an eye on this thread for ideas.

I'm trying tattoo healing balm as an experiment on DS's other eczema patches at the mo. Will let you know if it does anything!
