Lost voice but throat isn’t sore

I had a sore throat earlier in the week, but that has improved. However, since Thursday evening, I have no voice. I’ve seen threads about laryngitis, but other than feeling a bit tired and achy, I don’t feel too bad. If it’s not laryngitis, what could it be?

I’m not trying to speak, having lots of hot drinks - is there anything else I can do? Thanks.

I've had the same felt like I was getting sore throat Thursday evening. Woke up with hoarse voice Friday that became worse throughout day, voice completely gone yesterday. This morning back to a bit hoarse and croaky again. I'm presuming it was mild laryngitis. Both my kids have had colds recently so presuming I caught something from them.

I'd presume you have laryngitis and if it doesn't improve in a few days then maybe call the doctor.

I get this quite a bit with colds. All you can do is rest your voice & plenty of fluids. Avoid whispering if you can.

I started with a sore throat on Friday. Did a covid test yesterday and it was positive. Today my voice is really croaky and have a cough.

I get this most years. No pain. Just no voice. I find it strangely pleasing. I think I must hate the sound of my own voice 😂

I lost my voice with covid in the Summer. Started with a sore throat then voice went. It came back within a few days.
