Strange spot or boil on inner thigh

I have this strange spot on my inner thigh, it appeared a few months ago and was really painful, I assumed it was just a spot as it died down after a week or so but there was always a faint red mark where it was, it has now flared up for a third time and is painful when I walk as it is rubbing against my leggings/ jeans. There is also a lump behind it.
I know I need to see a doctor but that's easily said than done these days and currently full of cold ( tested, not covid ) so I'd rather wait til I'm not coughing and sneezing to go anyway.
I have attached a pic, it's not the best quality but does anyone know what it could be?

I wouldn't see a doctor about that. Bathe with very warm salt water 3x a day, use some sudacreme or mag sulph paste and cover and it should come to a head. Probably an ingrowing hair.

It got too painful and finally seen a GP, prescribed antibiotics and told it may be bacterial as creams have not helped, told to come straightaway if I ever find anything like it again. Yeah right, have GPs no idea how long it takes to get appointment let alone get through on the phone!
