A couple of weeks ago when on holiday I had a spontaneous episode of excruciating painful stomach cramps which came and went for 48 hours. It was worse than labour. I was checked out when I got home under the advice of 111 as they said it sounded like gallstones.
Bloods taken and I was told gallstones unlikely as bloods were fine so I was prescribed omazeprole as they suspected gastritis (I do have a sensitive stomach after years of ibuprofen use to treat a separate pain condition)
Personally, I wondered whether it was an ulcer.
So I've been taking the omazeprole for 1 week now and whilst the pain isn't at the level it was to begin with its very much still there and I have ALOT of trapped wind / gas. Continuously.
Does this sound like it may be a food intolerance of some sort? IBS? Gastritis as they thought?
