Exactly as it says, a big spot which was filled with pus came up the other day and now it has turned a purple/black colour, it's really painful to walk or sit. I'll try and get a drs appointment if anyone thinks I need one but I don't think I'll manage it. It's about 3/4 of an inch. Very very sore. And not bursting.

Def doctor try and get an emergency appointment

Sounds like herpes. Get to the clinic & looked at asap.

It is probably a Bartholin's cyst. Have a Google and compare perhaps. Painful but not overly problematic

Newgirls · 20/09/2022 08:09

I had one removed at the local hospital. Quick and painless though a little awkward!

Does herpes usually have pus? I'm worried now, I've never had herpes before and I don't even have the illness in my system without having an outbreak because my blood is usually given to neonatal babies and I haven't had sex since I last donated and I know that went to my local neonatal unit too, they text me 😢

Okay I had a look and it does look like a bartholins cyst more than herpes! I'll get in touch with the doctors and see what they recommend. Thank you all!

If it's a bartholin cyst, have a look on sporner's corner for advice on bringing things on. I know they're super painful so sorry to hear this - get some paracetamol down you. Flowers

I had very similar, it was a Bartholin's cyst. My sister is a Dr and suggested a bath as hot as I could comfortably sit in and after 5min poke and squeeze. Rinse and repeat. After the second a slight white head drew out then on the fourth it burst after the bath and ruined a favourite towel.

I had the exact thing last week! It was so painful, but after 2 days it burst and the relief was enormous. Within a few days it was completely gone and back to normal. It burst on its own, while I was asleep.
