Pain under my left eye could it be sinus related?

I have no idea what sinititus is so can someone tell me if these symptoms sound about right. Ok, I am having headaches particularly when I lay down or lean forward, I have pain well its more sore when i touch than pain under my eyes particularly left eye. Nose feels a bit blocked up, worse when i lie down, I feel i am clearing my throat a lot throughout the day - like cattarh in my throat, its vile.

Do i need to go to GP or can i get something from the pharmacist?

Sounds very much like sinusitis to me. The leaning forward pain in particular.

Sometimes the body can deal with it itself, others you may need antibioticss to successfully clear it.

You may get something over hte counter that works - sinutab or something, but I've never had much luck with them.

There are a couple of alternative remedies too:

• flushing the sinuses with a Neti Pot;
• breathing in steam with some menthol crystals (from the chemist) dissolved in the hot water

Good luck and I hope it doesn't worsen for you. Severe sinus pain is awful.

The pharmacist won't give me sinutab or similar because i have asthma and she said it can worsen symptoms and make my chest tighter.

hmm maybe I need to go to GP for anti-biotics?
