DH works evenings and even though I try to get to the gym a couple of times a week, exercise DVDs are a good way of keeping fit for me as I can do them in the evening without having to get a babysitter.

I'd like a couple of new ones - a cardio one, I quite like dancing so the dancier the better, and a pilates/toning type. (I do a yoga class once a week and have already got a couple of good yoga DVDs).

Whilst loving to dance...my Exercise DVD@s are all "non-dancey really....as I just want to get on wiht it, without having to watch it a few times to pick up a routine...

I love Nell McAndrews DVD's they are all fabulous. And very cardio
The Tae Bo (Billi Blanks)ones are also fab cardio work out...but again no dancing...more martial artsy

I will look for an old thread for you, where lots of people left recommendations for all sort of different Exercise Dvd's

twofalls - tell me about your good yoga ones - my flexibility is rapidly disppearing. Will they help?

GColdtimer · 22/01/2008 19:57

Thanks 3andnomore, really helpful

Saggy, yes, yoga will help with your flexibility and will help tone you up and relax at the same time. The closest thing I found to a class is:
learn yoga, Louise Sear

  • it has a beginners class and an intermediate class and talks you through the postures slowly which is really good if you have never done any yoga before. The instructor really knows her stuff too.

Another good one if you have never done yoga before is AM/PM Yoga for beginners

Hope you give it a try!
