I feel really stupid being in A&E right now

I’ve had really severe abdominal cramps and sharp pains that have doubled me over for a few days.

It started all over but the main pain is in my
lower right side. I feel like I’ve got a stitch/labour pains/trapped wind all at once!

It hurts when I walk, stand mainly. But the pain is agonising when I stand up from sitting. It comes and goes in pain strength but it always there.

I’ve come to A&E as it’s just not going away but I feel like they’re dismissing me and not taking it serious, which makes me question whether it is serious at all.

Wait and see what they say OP. Keep telling them
how bad it is. It must be pretty bad for you to have gone to a&e

WorriedMillie · 30/08/2022 20:56

OP, you are in the right place, it sounds incredibly painful, please don’t feel guilty
i hope you get checked out soon (and some decent pain relief)

That sounds very painful and it must be for you to have taken yourself to a+e
Hope someone takes you seriously and can help you 🤞

I had a terrible experience in A&E a few months ago. I was doubled up on the floor for 3 hours, crying with severe abdominal pain. I felt totally humiliated.

I'd already been fobbed off by my local GP the night before, saying it was gastro-enteritis.

It turned out to be a ruptured ovarian cyst.

Don't be fobbed off if you're in pain.

Hope you get sorted soon 🤗
