Heartburn, asthma and omeprazole

I have had heartburn on and off for years, and have been prescribed omeprazole, which I take most days.

Recently, I have had a couple of bouts of quite painful heartburn, where the pain spreads to my left shoulder and in between shoulder blades (one started yesterday).
Having developed mild health anxiety during lockdown, I have avoided Googling the symptoms, as it makes me more anxious, which doesn’t help my asthma.

I end up with tight shoulder and neck muscles and that adds to the ‘is it something serious?’ anxiety.

Has anyone with asthma and heartburn had something similar, and if so, what helped?

Thanks.
