ok so ds of 15mths has had really bad cough and cold for well over a week. Very snotty.

Anyway has not had much of an appetite which i put down to cold etc.

Lst night at 12 he woke up at 12 and had been very sick and was twice more in night.

Gave him water and bf since he woke up and he was sick again. He seems hungry so gave a bit of toast but just sick again.

No temp as such and no dio. Reluctant to give any more food.

Am an emetephobe and am really struggling as dh is not here. Am trying not to show him how scared i am but shaking on the inside.

OH! Poor you!!!!! Sorry nobody answered your post, I am here, albeit for a few minutes!

Fellow emetophobe here. Sounds very much like what Ds had in December. He woke in the night and proceeded to throw up all over the bed, then every few minutes for the rest of the night - a few more times during the day - I felt pretty sick by then too, not fun but the next day we were both much better.

I hope it is just a normal bug and you don't get it too. When is DH back? I know how hard it is, just stick all the washing in the bath and leave for now till you feel less shaky.

Ds had no temp either, he had some diarrhoea the next day but it was mainly top end iyswim.

Good luck xx

btw just keep offering breast/water if he seems to want it. Don't bother with food today.

Poor you, I'm an emetophobe too and it does sound like the dreaded noro virus. DD has had this 4 times in the past year. I would offer a tiny sip of water every 10 mins or so, and no more food until tomorrow. Perhaps a bf later once he starts to keep water down. (current NHS advice is to feed as normal, so feel free to ignore me, but this will be your best chance of him not being sick again). Do call NHS direct if he appears in anyway dehydrated

thanks fa, feel awful poor ds can only manage to kiss on top of head and cuddle him from behind when sick.

Have just given him aplain cracker as he was shaking food cupboard doors - so see how he gets on.

Will keep offering water and bf as you say.

Dh back a three
