Pneumonia recovery

Hi all I was hospitalised a week ago for bacterial pneumonia following chest pains and put on an IV drip for antibiotics. Following 3 nights there I was discharged on Tuesday and am on oral antibiotics at home. I understand the recovery is slow and fatigue is an issue for a while but I'd love to hear of any other experiences or advice people have. I am 44 and otherwise quite healthy, don't drink or smoke normally but recently was on a holiday where I went into 'holiday mode' and stupidly did both (probably a factor in my demise...)
I haven't returned to work yet but was thinking of dipping my toe back in this week. (I work from home) I'll have bursts of feeling normal for a few hours followed by debilitating tiredness. I have young children and a dog so total bedrest not an option, am trying to take it as easy as I can...when does normal life start to feel manageable again??? 🙈🙈🙈

Sorry to hear this OP. I felt a bit better after a week/ 10 days and much better after 2/3 weeks. You will need lots of strong multivitamins and probiotics!
