What’s wrong with me?

Hi everyone I’m a bit worried at the moment so any advice/ reassurance would be appreciated :(

I found a lump in my neck just below my ear after quite bad ear pain. It didn’t go away after a couple weeks so I went to the doctor. He felt the lump , pressed quite hard. He told me to come back to him if I started feeling pain.

I started feeling pain and also aching joints and muscles. One moment my arm will ache then my wrist then my fingers. So I rang the doctor yesterday and he has put me on antibiotics and is also seeing me on Monday.
im very worried what will happen I’m scared it’s something serious I’m 24 and am in good health in general. I’m happy I have an appointment on Monday but am still very nervous as I have been aching everywhere too.

has anyone had the same symptoms/ experience as me?

Theres a lymph node just under your ear. When im ill mine swells up pretty big. The fact that you are in pain and have aching joints points to an infection which would certainly cause the node to swell, so antibiotics are a good idea.
I would also ask your GP to run some bloods as sometimes swollen nodes can be a sign of autoimmune issues.

It sounds like the lump Could be a swollen lymph node, and your joints are aching because your fighting an infection of some sort.
