Asthma and vaping

Does anyone have experience of the effects of vaping on asthma
my asthma is generally well controlled
DP vapes - we don’t live together and he usually comes over to my house
I will only let him vape in kitchen/diner or outside
As I won’t let him vape in my car if we go out we take his car
He insists vaping is ok but I feel my asthma is worse since I spend time with him when he vapes
we want to go on holiday but I’m worried it will make my asthma worse as will be with him constantly vaping for a week or more
the other thing is vaping seems to be constant - whereas some smokers just have a few a day

I would say it’s an courtesy issue rather than a health risk. You boyfriend should respect the fact that you have asthma and adjust his vaping accordingly. Here is a good link www.blf.org.uk/support-for-you/smoking/vaping-e-cigarettes

There is increasing evidence that vaping triggers asthma, including those experiencing second-hand vapes like you from your partner.

It might be the nicotine itself but given how many asthmatics are triggered by fragrances and carriers, the other components of the vapes.

I have asthma and reacted to my cat's Feliway plugin (!), so with asthma you are triggered by a whole host of airborne chemicals.

So it isn't just courtesy, if you are feeling it in your lungs it's real and he needs to keep the vaping away from you.
