Hi, getting worried. Dad who usually independent and fine healthwise, appeared to have started with a UTI, high temperature, couldn't pass urine but no pain.
He started antibiotics and is very weak. He still has difficulty passing urine but is passing some.
His urine sample has come back normal, although his dip test at drs showed trace of leukocytes.
The doctor is coming out tomorrow to reviee, but I'm beside myself with worry and thinking the worse, bladder cancer. He is now able to wee small amounts but has no control over his bladder.
Has anyone else had this with their male relative and it was just a Uti? He's been on antibiotics for three days now, initial course of antibiotics prescribed lasts a week and temperature has lowered and all sats fine (had to call ambulance as couldn't get him to bed, their tests and traces fine too).
Any advice appreciated.
