If you have a blood pressure monitor which also alerts of irregular heartbeat, does it have to alert you of this every time you use it?

I had the alert so I done it again and it didn't happen.

I have had it come up twice over 2 days

I am now obsessing over my heart beat 🤦‍♀️

Are the batteries okay?

Yes because my blood pressure and pulse is working fine (and both completely normal every time)

It will only alert you if it detects the irregular beat in the time it is monitoring your heart rate. Ectopic beats for example can be variable in timing. If you are worried, go and see your GP

Do you have any other symptoms? Like dizziness, fainting, palpitations? How's you blood pressure? High or low?

Yes I think I will just worry about it otherwise!

My blood pressure and pulse is completely normal. I am 33, healthy etc.

Bit lightheaded every now and then but have been like that my whole adult life

@bobbinsboo I was having ectopic beats this morning and irregular heartbeat symbol appeared on my monitor. Can a bp monitor detect ectopic beats?

Why are you checking your blood pressure every day?

It was probably just a few ectopics, check your pulse yourself and see if it feels regular.

GP has just put me on folic acid following blood tests. Three months worth followed by retesting my blood . It's worth checking out
