Anyone had an echo test?

I had an echo test today and they said they could see a very small amount of fluid around the heart and it will be my GP who will look and see what/ if further tests are needed. Has anyone else had this or know about this kind of thing? Google is not helping!

If you google pericardial effusion, it will give you a full differential diagnosis, OP, but it’s most likely post viral inflammation or an autoimmune condition such as rheumatoid arthritis.
There are some more serious possibilities, but nobody on MN can diagnose you - you need to see your GP to discuss further investigation.

Indeed OP, exactly what the previous poster said. You need to discuss with your GP and /or a cardiologist in due course.
It could be a variety of causes, however getting multiple opinions on here will just worry you unnecessarily
