Can anyone offer advice please? For no apparent reason, two of my fingers - one on each hand - have become stiff and painful. It started on 1st July, so nearly a month ago. I can't bend the ring finger on my right hand and the middle finger on my left hand. Also they make a weird sort of clicking when I pull them down myself. Looking on the web, it seems like either tendonitis or 'trigger finger'.
I've no idea why it's suddenly started and have been doing exercises I've seen on YouTube, taking Ibuprofen for the pain and am wearing finger splints called Oval 8's which were recommended. But it's taking SO long to improve and as both hands are involved, there's so little I can do which is getting me down.
Has anyone else experienced this or a similar 'injury' out of nowhere?
