I’ve found a lump in my arm pit 😢

Randomly found a lump in my armpit tonight.
about the size and shape of a grape, smooth, movable, firm but has some ‘give.’ Very, very slightly tender - I haven’t touched it/moved it about much since I found it so I don’t think it’s from fiddling with it but ever so slightly sore when pressed.

I recently had tonsillitis and just finished the 10
day course of antibiotics on Tuesday, however I wasn’t sure whether or not tonsillitis would
cause enlarged lymph nodes in the armpit 🤔

Obviously I will be ringing my GP on Monday morning but seeing as though I’ve just found this lump, I’d like some positivity to get me through the weekend (I have health anxiety so I’m a bit on the edge right now)

It may just be a cyst, try not to worry. Pointless saying that though! How old are you? if you don’t mind saying.

My aunt used to get loads of lumps, she was around 45/50 at the time. Hers were tender, she had them removed.

I’m 29, it could also be hormonal as I’ve just started my period today. Just odd, I’ve never had one before so I’m a bit 😬😬😬

I get cysts under my arm a lot it's usually hormonal around the time my period is due sometimes they are painful other times not

I've been getting them for about 10 years it started in my 20s I'm sure it's nothing to worry about but I'd get it checked just to put your mind at rest

I used to get rampant tonsillitis (I had them taken out at 37) and would often get swollen armpit glands - does it feel glandular when you press it?

Of course, go to the doc, but for weekend reassurance, there are many lumpy things that can happen in armpits that are not cancer.

I went through this

it was a swollen lymph node

very stressful

if it’s moveable it’s supposed to be less worrisome
