have decided that I am going to get fit... hahaha!! I brought an exercise dvd yesterday and started it today.. I nearly kneeled over after 15 minutes.. I couldn't even finish it.. How am I supposed to do a 3 mile run for 'race for life' if I can't even do a dvd in the comfort of my own home?? I am so unfit!!

when is the race for life?

And personally, I think 15 mins of excercise is pretty fab. I wouldn't be able to manage that.

And, you had a baby like five minutes ago!

Don't beat yourself up, pick it up again tomorrow, and the next day, and the next day and in no time at all you'll be on here posting that you finished it.

(which dvd is it btw and would you recommend it? Am seriously considering actually getting fit myself )

race for life is in sept. I picked up the 'hollyoaks dance workout' for £2.99 at morrisons.

well, if it's in September, you have bags of time.

Take it easy and do a bit at a time and you'll be running rings round the rest of us (literally) in no time.

I am not doing this to lose weight (i don't weigh enough as it is) I just need to tone up and get fit! I used to be in the cross country team at school. and I used to cycle everywhere, until I passed my driving test in 2003..

If you're training for a run, is the exercise DVD going to be a lot od use? Unless you're star-jumping your way to the finish line

EffiePerine · 18/01/2008 16:29

why not just start on a running program? You know, the ones where you walk a bit, run a bit, repeat. Or is getting out of the house a problem?

sparklygothkat · 18/01/2008 22:45

lol, I am starting running tomorrow with Misdee, she started a last week, but I have been ill and only just got better. I thought the exercise DVD would help me get into shape a bit quicker as well as the running
