Haemorrhoid Banding

I’m having my haemorrhoids banded tomorrow under anaesthetic. Can anyone who’s had this done tell me what’s the recovery like?

Not me, but DH had it done in A&E after a bloodbath down the toilet, he was fine afterwards and carried on as normal
I did find little elastic bands around the house for a while.

@Carrie76 - how did you find recovery from your procedure? If you don't mind my asking?

I was very pleasantly surprised I had a couple banded and a Botox injection. When I got home I had quite a few loose bowel movements which were uncomfortable but I had bought a HappyPo (portable bidet) and that helped hugely as I didn’t really need to wipe.

I went out for a cuppa the next day as I was bored sitting at home, didn’t have any discomfort.

Was it a local or a general anaesthetic please?
